The team that brings you the Sherman Oaks Film Festival, a festival ranked by FilmFreeway users as one of the Top 100 Best Reviewed festivals, brings you something a little special, THC Cinema.

All genres and formats are welcome! Comedy, Drama, Arthouse, Experimental, Horror, Documentary, Music Video, Animation, Web series, and more. We have stopped accepting feature length films. We found at our events that audiences were much happier with a series of great shorts.

instead of being a weeklong annual festival, THC Cinema is a movie night devoted to one of the most fun cinematic genres in existence; GREAT INDIE FILMS THAT ARE EVEN BETTER WITH THC. We are based in Los Angeles, California where it is legal for adults 21 or older to possess and consume cannabis (marijuana, weed, pot) on private property.

Everything that we screen will win the "It's All Good Award" with laurels and prizes. We might have an audience award. We might not. Popularity contests are not where it's at.

We plan to line up some sponsors to provide some wonderful prizes, too.

FilmFreeway is the exclusive submission platform for THC Cinema, Entries must be sent via online digital submission.

The creative teams of each project are welcome to attend as our guests and participate in a Q&A session immediately following their screening.

Participants agree that their project and material related to their project may be used and/or published in the THC Cinema program, website and for promotional purposes related to THC Cinema.

Copies of movies, scripts and promotional materials submitted to the Sherman Oaks Film Festival are not required to be returned to their owner.

If selected, all commercial/private property including all trademark/copyrighted materials shown or recorded on the project is the responsibility of the filmmaker. THC Cinema does not take responsibility for any infringement of copy-written materials.
