Man and women created equal-gender equality where in equal access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender including economic participation and decision-making, and the state of valuing different behaviours,aspirations,according to their respective needs.
Women are still much more likely than men to be poor and illiterate.They have less assess to property ownership,credit,training and employment.They are far less likely than men to be politically active and far more likely to be victims of domestic violence.
There are some who do not seek to challenge social structures of male domination,and aim at improving the situation of women and people around within the social framework of subordination of women to men and here we cite a bright example in k.krishna kumari.With a strong determination,intelligence,insight and influence,she managed to achieve her objectives. She was innovative in using her tactical knowledge to demonstrate the first example imparting education in Anganwadi, promoting Adult education,improvement of the vicinity,implementation of government health programmes and pursed nursing filled with wisdom,wit and knowledge,she entered politics only to quit because of the complicacies, she faced while achieving her aim and objectives and opted for ANM training.She emphasized the importance of women having the right and possibility to have control over their body,reproduction decisions,and the need for gender equality in order to achieve her goals.
She was always with patients in critical condition and was the first healthcare professional in her village to provide medical assistance immediately and effectively- administering emergency medication procedures as needed.She always took the advice of doctors to ensure continuity of care to patients.She aroused awareness programme in her locality.people became like friends with her and compared the care they received to that of a mother looking after a child.
For her perseverance and dedication to humanity,care giving role to patients and their families,showing kindness and compassion to the society was awarded the presidents Florence nightingale award.Its a real life story of k. Krishna kumari.
