Director Biography - Shabbir Mahmood

Shabbir Mahmood has been working as a Chief Assistant Director and an Editor in a production house named Mediaaid Bangladesh. He has worked in two govt. grant films - “Gaariwala - The Cart” which has received 26 international awards along with more than 100 international film festival screenings in 30 countries so far and “Shonaton Golpo –The Ancient Tale”.

He has also worked in “Amra Ekta Cinema বানাব- The Innocence” which happens to be the longest feature film (21 hours) in the world, and "Gopon- The Inner Sound". His first fiction work “The Punished” has received 4 international film festival screenings. It has also won an award in Sheikh Rasel Children Film Festival. His second fiction work "The Desperate Woman" has achieved 7 International film festival screenings along with one best film award. His third fiction work EID MUBARAK (The Dirty Business) has been selected in 4 International Film Festivals so far. It has also won an award from one.
