Synchronise Your Dream

Synchronise Your Dream is a film co-created with Open AI’s latest API language model GPT-3 (Generative Pre-training Transformer), which generates natural language when triggered with input prompts and pruning techniques to steer the direction of the feedback loops. The aim of the project is to imagine a synthesis of intelligences and consciousness beyond anthropocentric perspectives. We are all constantly changing the world around us, and the world is changing us. The format of the film challenges the cinema of the interface, bringing together live footages, animations, gaming technologies and 16mm cameraless films. The narratives derive from improvised dream exchange sessions with GPT-3. Challenging traditional forms of story telling, the piece weaves mythology and technology, straddling meanings and feelings - bodily experience without bodies. The soundscapes are produced with live coding sound generation technology, exploring the simulated multiverse of machine generated environments.
