Tibetans are not entitled to have a Chinese passport, which makes international travel very difficult and most of the time impossible.
Fortunately, many have managed and continue to escape to live safely in exile. More than 85,000 people led by the spiritual leader Dalai Lama have fled the Chinese occupation and have established a refugee camp in Daramansala, India.
In this documentary we can learn about the experience of the young Tibetans themselves who arrived in Daramsala escaping from India.

Los Tibetanos no tienen derecho a tener un pasaporte Chino, lo que hace que los viajes internacionales sean muy difíciles y la mayoría de las veces imposible.
Afortunadamente, muchos han logrado y continúan escapando para vivir de manera segura en el exilio. Más de 85 mil personas guiados por el líder espiritual Dalai Lama han escapado de la ocupación China y han establecido un campo de refugiados en Daramansala, India.
En este documental podemos conocer la experiencia de los propios jóvenes Tibetanos que llegaron a Daramsala escapando de India.

Director Biography - Andres Roccatagliata

Andrés Roccatagliata is a visual anthropologist who was born in Santiago Chile and raised in Patagonia. In 2008 he completed a BA in anthropology at Southern University of Chile and continued to study documentary film in Cuba and Spain.

In 2005 Andres set up his own non profit independent production company, Unfulgor, dedicated to making ethnographic films, which seek primarily to rescue the oral history of ordinary people whose story often remains unaccounted for in the official story.

Since 2005 Andres has created a range of vivid and personal documentaries which engage their audiences in the raw experience of human life, raising issues about identity and human rights. Using a very simple and creative cinematographic language his documentaries have been shown in different film festivals around the World.

Antropólogo, guionista, realizador audiovisual, editor y operador de cámara con experiencia en realización de documentales, reportajes, institucionales, producción audiovisual, postproducción y todo lo relacionado con el trabajo de campo y la confección sociocultural y artística ligada al mundo audiovisual.

En el año 2005 creo mi propia productora de bajo presupuesto con la que he realizado decenas de documentales que han sido premiados en distintos países alrededor del mundo. He trabajado con mi propia productora y también para otras empresas y productoras en Latinoamérica, Europa y Asia.

Actualmente me encuentro en negociaciones con Netflix LA California para vender mi último proyecto documental Babylondon, distribuido por GlobalFlix.
