Two unpaid interns on a local cooking show go head-to-head, as they compete for a potential PAID position. This is no easy task, as the special ingredient they have been tasked with finding is not readily available in Denver! It’s a playful commentary on how difficult it is to pay your dues and get ahead in the entertainment industry.

Director Biography - Kai Fernandez

Director Kai Fernandez was born and raised in Denver, CO. Kai is currently a student at Denver School of the Arts, where he studies video cinema arts, along with the other typical high school “stuff”. He’ll be graduating in June of 2025. He started making films by experimenting with stop animation and making YouTube videos on his mom’s cell phone. The goal is to tell a story that people can relate to and make people laugh. Even in the darkest moments of history, you can find humor. He admires director Taika Waititi for possessing this ability and hopes to someday make a movie as impactful as “Jojo Rabbit”.
