Castaways in the Kappa Galaxy

John Clark is sent to inspect triton miners on the planet XT-38. He finds the miners dead and the triton stolen. After his scout ship is attacked by alien craft, he crash lands on an unknown uninhabited planet with two aliens. To survive, the three survivors are forced to work together. John Clark has a portable speech translator for alien languages and dialects. This is the basis for the later friendship that develops between the survivors of different cultures and breeds.
