Director Biography

Ryan Whitaker is the award-winning director of the romantic drama Surprised by Oxford, the indie thriller After, and a producer of the Lionsgate documentary The Jesus Music. Under his Tirian Films banner (formed with producer Ken Carpenter) Whitaker has a slate of projects in development, including a feature film adaptation of G.K. Chesterton’s novel The Ball & The Cross and Mána, a limited series set in Greece.
