Director Statement

There are thousands of stories about women that moves me.
There are a lot of things that us, women are constantly fighting for; discrimination, equality, justice, stereotype, etc.
Often times, our stories, our fight, are being looked away.
With this short film, I would like to share stories of women from different background; cultural, ethnic, socio-economic. Each of them tell a story about their fight and struggle of being a woman, and how difficult it is just to live being their own true self.
I use this method of visual story telling to portray each of their story, while focusing on their monologues. There are elements of movement, experimentation with props, and also the use of facial expression to convey the meaning of their words.
I hope this piece can be a tool for a reflection, and to resonate with us women.
