Super Birds

I was a frustrated architect.

Now I create imaginary worlds using repurposed found images and objects. Using models, drawings, collages and copious written documents to describe my proposals. More recently, I have started to use film to bring these stories to life. These imaginary worlds are filled with humour, invention and life and are populated by characters that charm, surprise and entertain. Their lives and their situations are original and unique.

My small workspace at the harbour in Jersey is a laboratory for experimentation and research.  The drawings echo the architectural drawings from my previous life. Now these have mutated from real world representations to ultra-plastic, hyper-stylised, super-artificial visions where the natural is no longer the norm. These drawings, once used to show people their dream homes, now tell stories of worlds where the dreams may be nightmares.
