Sunrise Trail
Zara and Courtney are two sisters looking for a weekend bonding trip, and stumble upon a house in the middle of the woods. After hearing cries for help, and thinking someone is hurt inside, they soon discover that no one is hurt, and something lurking in the dark corners wants them dead. A dangerous game of cat and mouse ensues as the two sisters search for a way out, desperately trying to avoid an unknown monstrosity, and wondering if this was all an accident, or if something more sinister is at play.

My name is Glenn Anthony Maneval Jr, and I currently live in the state of Pennsylvania. I was born in 1990, and am the oldest child of seven siblings. Life growing up was tough, but I did well in school, served my country in the Air Force, and graduated college with a degree in Molecular Biology. Even after all that, I realized I never did what I wanted; write a horror movie. One day I just started writing, and writing, and then I had a script done. I have no formal training on screenplays, but the story was gripping to me, and I fell in love with the writing process because it's something I care about deeply. The horror genre is everything to me. I may not have the experience, but I'm someone with ideas, and ideas are what drive people to create great things, and I believe my ideas can scare and entertain the masses.
This is my first ever script. A homage to the early days of survival horror video games, with grounded central characters, twists and turns, and a plot to expand the world around my story. Some of my favorite horror games helped this story: Resident Evil, Outlast, and the recent indie hit Visage. A cat and mouse game where two strong female characters must outsmart evil. I love stories with strong characters because when things happen to them, you feel well connected to their reasoning and overall persona. This is a fast-paced, scary, and taught thriller, and I hope that the reader of this script can't put it down. Thank you for taking the time to read this script fellow abandoned house hunters. * Look for a sequel, coming soon*
