Suni Sunai (Heard and Told)
This film takes us into an absurd world where people stop reasoning. What makes this absurd world scary, is how close to reality it is. My intent through this film is to bring awareness about the immense amount of power the world of fake news holds upon us and ofcourse to highlight the ridiculousness of it all. The narrative involves a tiny heated argument between two siblings being transformed into something so huge that it starts affecting the entire city. One sibling believes it is raining, while the other is against the notion. I chose something as tangible as rain because it can easily be verified in a second, yet people go on to believing what they want to believe in, for reasons related to money, belonging, or sheer ignorance.
