Sunflowers
Girasoli is a music video created for the homonymous song by the Roman artist Kaligola.
The story tells of a boy (Eugenio) who, from one day to the next, in his normal and monotonous life, finds his bedroom completely invaded by plants and plant elements.
Submerged by the roots, in a corner of the room, there is a beautiful girl (Elena) who is in a state of unconsciousness. Eugenio begins to take care of the plants and gently remove the roots that cover Elena, One day Eugenio finds Elena conscious when he wakes up. The two begin to know each other and one senses that she is not human. There is a mutual attraction between the two that results in a stormy love scene. The following day, the girl wakes up alone in the bed and finds the room completely clean, without even a trace of nature, without roots, leaves and flowers. Eugenio is not there and she feels suffocated, so she leaves her house and runs away, but finds herself crushed by the chaos of a large metropolitan city. Elena can't stand stress and she faints. Eugenio finds the girl on the street and decides to take her to a country field, where he can return her to nature. Feeling too much love, Eugenio decides to abandon himself to nature with her. The two embrace in the bare earth and are submerged by the vegetation. From their union a sunflower is born.
Besides being a love story, Girasoli is a tribute to nature and to the world that is not yet corrupted and contaminated by human civilization.
