Josh Cox is an American filmmaker living in Brooklyn, New York. Having acted as a "one man crew" on all his films, he is passionately dedicated to telling queer and inclusive narratives that foster film culture with niche human experiences. His style is described by Queerty as "effortlessly timeless" with "evocative odes of yearning". His works are predominantly queer and sun-drenched.
My newest short film SUMMER DAY IN BROOKLYN, which I shot on iPhone, is much more experimental than my previous work. Regardless, I love how at its core, it is a heartwarming and intimate look at the beginning stages of a romantic relationship full of flaw-admission and deep vulnerability by the wonderful onscreen talent. This is much needed positive representation in the WLW community and I am proud to present such a kind, gentle and warm dynamic between two queer women getting to know each other for the first time in full embrace.
