Diego L. Pedroza is a Mexican writer and filmmaker. He attends Carroll University in Wisconsin where he studies Theatre Arts , Film, and Creative Writing. He started polishing his filmmaking back in Mexico through his production house ‘Yeronimo', where he wrote and produced short films, music videos, and social commentary sketches. When he first moved to America in 2017, he started working behind the curtains as a theatre shop worker; but now produces videos to promote events, productions, and music in Wisconsin. Last semester he submitted his script and was granted a studio residency at the Visual and Performing Arts Department in Carroll University; which allowed him to start production on STUFFED HEADS, his first American short. Diego’s films have entered the Mexican and international festival circuits two times (FICC 2016 & 2018 , INCORTO ‘18).
Eddie Curran is the founder and Executive Director of Enterprise Films. He has been behind a camera for as long as he can remember. He got his start making videos with friends and soon transitioned into making music videos for local bands. He now has built a brand and a company that lets his creative flourish.
This is a story with characters that are above everything else, human. They are thrown into vulnerable narratives and forced to figure out how to navigate them. Stuffed Heads is about how a young man navigates a break up that he's been having a hard time moving on from.
Stuffed Heads is a character-driven film and all of the people in the story were written to be able to exist in the real world. They are all college students in a Midwestern college. I love movies that take reality and decorate its edges with fiction to tell a story. Seeing you reflected in a film makes you care for the characters and I am actively attempting to do that with this story. Inspirations that I carried with while making the film include: Lady Bird (2017), The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), Rushmore (1998), and The 400 Blows (1959).
