Stryx
"Stryx" tells the story of Victor, a young homosexual, dynamic and sunny boy whose greatest passion is theater. A love for art that leads him to face his life with his best friend, David, a bond profound that unites them in a society hostile to their sexual and gender identity. Victor, a precarious employee at a municipal library, on a particularly boring day meets Luca, a former schoolmate he hasn't seen for years, with whom he re-establishes a friendship relationship, Luca will discover that he has a strong attraction for Victor, which is why he will start a true love story hidden from society and very hesitant. The latter fearing a wrong judgment on the part of people and in particular that of Luca, hides her nocturnal work, or her purely artistic transformation into Victoria, a drag queen who loves makeup, women's clothes and the absolute power of the Theater. to maximum artistic expression, surrounded by a new family that accepts her for what she is. David hides the true essence of him behind his fake stupidity, Victor will turn him into a Drag King, to allow him to feel like a real man and live his identity freely. For this David taking courage will find himself exposing himself in order to protect his best friend. Mami is the director of the theater, a gay man, resolute who loves his boys as if they were his children. But an artistic world with this nuance is not well regarded; in fact, he will find himself facing serious economic problems that he will try in every way to solve. In Victor's life everything goes well, a daily life with very open minded people who see beyond. Until one day at the theater, an electrician will show up, who turns out to be Luca. In the chance meeting between the two, a quarrel breaks out, which will lead Luca to move away because by not accepting his own sexuality, he repudiates Victor's acceptance. Taken by despair and under Mami's advice, he leaves the theater taking a break to metabolize the story just ended, looking for a way to re-accept his alter ego, as an integral part of his life. Encouraged by David who has never stopped waiting for him and after an act of liberation where the latter expresses all his thoughts, Victor even if not totally sure, returns to the show. The return triggers a mix of emotions in him, which the public will appreciate, making him rediscover a certainty that he had never had until that moment. And it is only in that instant that everyone becomes aware that they are not wrong, an inner revenge, thus deciding to show themselves to the world for what they are.
