Underneath it all,
I'm just skin and bones.
And all be all alone,
When my people leave their home.
Underneath it all,
Nothing seems to matter,
If we let this end of chapter,
Be the end of our story.
Come on, come on don't you let go
We will go back home for sure
With our people, there's no evil
Just stay strong
Come on, come on don't you let go
We will go back home for sure
With our people, there's no evil
Just stay strong
Give us one more chance,
To prove that we can stand,
Even when the sand,
Always blows back so unplanned
Give us one more chance,
To make our land our home
Forever and beyond
God won't you just respond?
Come on, come on don't you let go
We will go back home for sure
With our people, there's no evil
Just stay strong
Come on, come on don't you let go
We will go back home for sure
With our people, there's no evil
Just stay strong

Born in Armenia and raised in Montreal, Hasmik Grigoryan, better known as Opya, has been singing since the age of 4. She is now 19 and a student in college. Indeed, she started singing with Naira Gyurjinyan, in a broadway group, which allowed her to build confidence and musical experience. She took advantage of the COVID lockdown to start songwriting. It was in June of 2020 that she released the song called “3 Shots”, with her producer friend, Robert Tuta. The song was the first that brought a wave of fans to her. The following year, she released her first EP called “Cloud 9”, which was an RnB EP composed of 4 songs. In January 2023, she released the song “Good Love” featuring NAATE NK which gained a lot of media traction and was featured in “The Tinnitist” and “Record World International”. She also recently released the song called “tell me” and is planning on releasing music every 8 weeks.
"Strong" is a poignant and powerful song dedicated to the memory of the Armenian Genocide and the ongoing conflict in Artsakh, but it also serves as a message of hope and resilience to every nation that has experienced the trauma of war. The song is an emotional tribute to the strength and courage of the Armenian people and all those who have faced unimaginable challenges in the face of war and conflict.
The lyrics of "Strong" tell a story of resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity, encouraging listeners to hold on to hope and stay strong even in the darkest of times. The song's haunting melody and soulful vocals capture the pain and suffering of those affected by war, while its uplifting chorus reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles.
The song's dedication to every nation going through war is a powerful reminder that the trauma of war is not unique to any one country or people. Whether it is the ongoing conflicts in Syria, Yemen, or Ukraine, or the scars left by past conflicts such as the Holocaust or the Rwandan Genocide, "Strong" is a tribute to the resilience and strength of the human spirit in the face of unimaginable suffering.
Overall, "Strong" is a stirring and emotional song that serves as a powerful reminder to never give up hope, to stay strong in the face of adversity, and to always remember the strength and resilience of those who have come before us. It is a message of hope and a call to action for all those who seek a more peaceful and just world.
