Street Muse

Using the emotional arc of a Puccini aria, two formerly housed women reflect on their lives on the street as they rummage for clean clothes in a pile of discards. Their song interrupts the dream of a sleeping drunk. They share a moment of compassion for each other and also for the passersby, who seem oblivious to their own profound vulnerability to the whims of fortune.
