Hashem is one among the thousands of impoverished villagers who comes to the city in search of a better living condition. A spade was the only capital he has, to earn money in the city. He might have his family living in the village. He might have the dream to feed that family so that they can survive. Hashem works on a construction site as day labor. He doesn’t have a specific shelter in this city full of colorful peoples. When the city life slows down with the increasing darkness of the night, Hashem have to sleep in whatever place he manages to get in the sidewalk. One fine morning he woke up and realized that he has lost the only resource he had for earning money. Someone might have stolen the spade. Hashem was so spellbound. he couldn’t realize what to do. The construction site where he used to dig soil doesn’t recruit him anymore without his spade. Foreman asked Hashem if he could work without his spade. As the construction work won’t be possible without the spade, Hashem burst into tears. So he decides to buy a spade and rejoin his work and for that he won’t even hesitate to beg for the money. When he was seeking people for help, some gave him money, and some was burlesquing him and some people accused him as a fraud after listening to his entire story. Some people was helping him a bit in exchange of other works. After an entire day Hashem managed to collect some money but when he went to the store he discovers those weren’t sufficient to buy a new spade. Hashem was walking absent-minded with a lot of frustration. He was confused whether he should return home or to be a permanent beggar in this city. The city crowd was disappearing when the night gets darker. Hashem was walking helplessly on the empty sidewalk. In the meantime, he saw a man just like him was sleeping on the sidewalk. There was a spade beside him. Hashem stopped in confusion. There is a golden opportunity for him on one side and definite ruin of someone’s life on the other side. Hashem overcame all his confusion and stole the spade. But he left his entire earning of the day beside that sleeping man.
