Stitching up a torn cloth

Stitching up a torn cloth is about 4 friends who have been torn apart when one of the friends in the group — who is very active is diagnosed with cancer. The film shows how that friend was so active and suddenly starts coughing — a lot. The movie starts off with a rather gloomy and abrupt start, 4 friends playing cricket. One of them has cancer but he doesn’t know. He was playing cricket with his friend group when he noticed that he can’t even run ten metres without huffing & puffing. The boy named Lakshya doesn’t know it yet but he has cancer. The boy’s condition gets worse so he wonder’s what is wrong, but shrugs it off, but still his parents get his health check done. When the report comes through the doctor tells the boy that he is in the late stages of cancer and tells him that he is a fighter and he can defeat it. . The next day Lakshya and his friends Samvath, Veydant and neev decide to play STD (Situation truth and dare). When it's Lakshya's turn, the group asks him to expose his deepest and darkest secret.Though reluctant at first, Lakshya decides to tell his friends as he just wants to get rid of the additional burden of keeping a secret. Lakshya tells his friends that he has cancer and that his family can't afford the treatment. At first, his friends don’t believe him but then they realise the dark truth. Lakshya tells Samvath, Veydant, and Neev that he needs 10 million rupees and that due to the COVID-19 pandemic his parents can’t afford the treatment. The next day he friends all meet, leaving lakshya out to discuss all the options on the table to find money to treat lakshya. At first, they all lost hope — after all they thought “how can we kids afford such money”.But then, an idea pops up - from an acquaintance of theirs, Neil. He is a boy they don’t know well but they have talked to him and they know him. Neil explains that we overheard the friends talking, prompting one to get up and say “how dare you”, when he says “let’s focus on the bigger picture”. At First they fight but then decide to focus on the bigger problem in hand .He tells them about his idea about crowdfunding. He talks about crowdfunding and how they can accumulate the money through it from people across the world by sharing Lakshya’s story on a social media platform. Everyone unanimously decided that this is good and they immediately set out to work to help their best friend. Neil sets up an Instagram account where he shares Lakshya’s story and then goes on to set up a crowdfunding page. A whole month goes by and then — they did it. They had the money in hand. But - the treatment was not just expensive, it was exhausting. Neil asks everyone on social media to record a few messages expressing their love to lakshya to motivate lakshya to go through the pain. Lakshya gets extremely emotional and tells the doctor he has money. The doctor then tells him to come to the clinic the next day to start treatment. He tells Lakshya that that’s great and that he will get well soon but told him up front - it will be hard. Three painstakingly long months go by and Lakshyahas done well and shows up to meet his friends. This time though, there are 5 of them but due to the pandemic, one of them couldn’t make it to meet Lakshya. At the end, the film shows how society will come together to help an individual who is need of support, and hope, and society comes through.
