Director Biography - Jordan Simkins

Jordan Simkins is a producer and director based in Stillwater, Minnesota. Currently, Jordan is employed at Valley Access Channels, a community access television station located in Stillwater. Jordan is the Assistant Manager and Community and Government Director. Jordan has produced, directed, created, edited and operated camera work for thousands of live and non live events to included community and school concerts, high school sports, community discussions and stories, government candidate forums and more. Jordan also is the director/videographer of all of the city meetings in Stillwater, Bayport and Oak Park Heights. Jordan graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A degree in Psychology. Jordan also worked in production at the local ABC affiliate in Minneapolis (KSTP-TV Ch. 5). Currently, Jordan is co-creating, with a VAC TV staff member, two separate quarterly community series. The first show will contain local feature stories and the other will be discussions concerning community and business members. Jordan loves animals, especially Siamese cats and his favorite all time sitcom is Seinfeld.

Jordan hopes to use his knowledge, skills and passion for the visual medium to continue to be of service to his community by telling stories of community members that need to be told before the stories vanish.
