*** Update Regarding Still Voices Short Film Festival 20 ***
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Still Voices Short Film Festival as a live event for 2020.
While it is incredibly disappointing to have to cancel, people's health and safety is the number one priority for us.
For the filmmakers who have submitted their films, we still plan on announcing our Official Selection on June 26th and will work with the selected filmmakers to screen their films digitally over the original dates August 13 - 15, with the award winners announced via social media on August 16th.
We hope to be back in full in 2021 and, once again, bring the best in Irish and international films to live audiences here in Ballymahon.
Until then, take care and stay safe.
The Still Voices Team
Founded in 2014, and growing to a weekend festival in 2017, The Still Voices Short Film Festival has established itself as one of Ireland's premier short film festivals. Based in Ballymahon, Co. Longford the next edition of the festival takes place from August 13th - 16th 2020.
Still Voices continues to grow from strength to strength. What started out as a small showcase for local filmmakers, has grown to a weekend festival screening the best of both Irish and international short films.
In addition to the short film competition, there will also be exciting panel discussions, Q&As, feature films and workshops for children and adults alike, all of which will make it an enjoyable weekend for filmmakers, film-lovers, and everyone in between.
