Director Statement

The film offers a window into the life a hopeful young person starting out in their own journey, just as many of us have. The table and bowl shown in the film as a medium of storytelling is something familiar to many Asian communities, as something the first person sees and uses when they come home.
Some find life is nothing but smooth sailing, but to many of us, the struggles can appear to be unbearable and insurmountable at times. The film encourages us to not lose hope, as even when things seem to spiral out of control, there is help available. Mental health is for everyone and with the right kind of help, anyone can have a fresh start.
