Tesqua (Steppe)

The steppe, “Tesqua” in Latin, is a place with large spaces and sparse vegetation. An almost dry plain that suggests a sense of death and aridity. Its cracks resemble those of the skin consumed by time, regrets and painful memories. From everything we want to remove from us. Pain arises from the barren cracks of the world, it cannot be hidden, concealed, set on fire like paper of an old letter, it must be looked at and not be terrified. It's not simple, and sometimes it becomes impossible. It is better to sink the evil into the abyssal cavities of the unconscious, into the ancestral depths of the earth and of memory, to render it harmless and forgetful. But the pain returns like a skull between the dry cracks of the ground, calls and invokes an answer that is not to ignore and bury, it returns to request a confrontation that cannot be repeated. Under a pale sky, among the winding paths of an uncertain life, man meets himself and his destiny and knows that he can no long.
