Born and raised in China, Qian Li is a bilingual filmmaker interested in stories of cross-cultural experiences, female dilemma, isolation and identity crisis. Striving to explore a deeper perception of our everyday life, she has made several award-winning short films across the boundary of fiction and non-fiction.
Qian holds an M.F.A. in Narrative Film Directing from Beijing Film Academy, China, and a B.A. in Film and English from Middlebury College, USA. She has also studied at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University, USA, as an exchange student.
How do we face death? Are you prepared? How is memory preserved? How is loss accepted?
Through this film, I hope to embark a journey that brings the viewer to reflect on the transformative effect of grief and attempt to find answers to those questions.
