Director Biography - Uel Renteria

The Director Uel (Yoo-el) Renteria age 34 is a multimedia artist. He started his career in the arts at the age of 18 when he joined the U.S Navy and served for four years as a photojournalist. For the last nine years he has worked as a freelance artist in San Francisco CA. Uel is most known for his photo series “Paintography,” a painting experiment with having subjects close their eyes as they model nude. Uel has had over fifty showings in the past five years, The Store Front 49 Geary, Fort Mason, City Art Gallery and Back to the Picture to name a few locations. This is Uel’s first film as director. Uel’s work can be found in print, web and has been published by many notable international publications.
