Director Statement

“Steamed Dreams” was our opportunity to return to the comedy genre, our chance to make people laugh but also entertain audiences at the same time. As filmmakers, it was important for us to put our own spin on the genre, and we found our footing by merging multiple styles together to create a ‘documentary’ style film, whilst also retaining cinematic elements when the documentary crew wasn’t possible.

I feel as filmmakers and entertainers, we have the opportunity to take responsibility, and provide content that can bring a smile to someone’s face or take them out of their own lives for a few fleeting moments and laugh. This is clearer to me more than ever and I hope Steamed Dreams will allow viewers to escape to a world where we can make them feel positive. Because in times like this, laughter isn’t the best medicine. It’s the only medicine.
