Director Biography - George Bessudo

George Bessudo began his career working on telenovelas in Mexico City. After becoming the youngest director employed by Televisa, Mexico's leading production company, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue filmmaking. While making ends meet writing and producing for television, Bessudo directed a series of short films, one of which landed him a meeting at a Hollywood production company. This lead to his feature directorial debut with Lake Dead. The film was released theatrically by Lionsgate as part of the After Dark Horror Fest, and its success led to his follow up film Farmhouse. Farmhouse was awarded best horror feature at Phoenix International Film Festival. Bessudo currently has two feature film projects in development, a supernatural thriller entitled Mercer House and the suspense drama Seven Days to Darkness.
