Staring into nowhere

Haiku is a short form poetry originally from Japan, that crossed the borders and inspired poets from various places. At the time when they had to stay home, children wrote their poems, watching the world through a window or immersing into memories.

Director Biography - Associação de Ludotecas do Porto/Anilupa´s workshop participants: Year 4 students of EB Carlos Alberto School

The young filmmakers who had no previous experience were the protagonist of all main processes of making this film - from script writing to making the storyboard, construction of the puppets and the scenery as well as animation using stop motion technique. Video editing was done by Associação de Ludotecas do Porto / ANILUPA - educational and cultural centre that develops a wide variety of activities in the field of animation. ANILUPA aims to encourage active participation of all members of the public by giving the possibility to get involved in film production, to learn about the emergence of cinema in an interactive way and to participate in other educational and creative activities. The filmography of ANILUPA at the moment contains more than 200 films, made by children, young people and adults from various organizations.
