Director Biography - Nastia Kanarova

Anastasiia Kanarova is a Ukrainian film director, scriptwriter and producer. She started her career as a documentary filmmaker in 2014 covering the war in Donbas for Ukrainian and international media. As a director she focuses on human rights, social injustice and human behaviour in tough and aggressive environment.

It's a privilege to make movies in Ukraine now as the brutal war is ongoing. It's a privilege to tell stories about hope, not about war. This short movie is about future for my generation. The future which is delayed but still we believe one day it will come.
