STANZA - a conversation with Nancy Cadogan
«I think about the lake all the time», says the artist Nancy Cadogan while talking about her new solo exhibition "Stanza". An ode to Lake Como, as W Magazine quoted, in this short documentary about the show, Cadogan talks with the director Delia Simonetti about the true nature of the still waters, the void between words, the void between us and the painted image, the void between us and the lake. What is the meaning of a landscape? What stays? What goes? How much is unsaid? And especially, what is more present than the unseen?

STANZA is “a breath, a pause, a part of poetry”, says Nancy Cadogan in this film. After "Mind Zero" (2019) and "Gusto" (2020), this third documentary together is a celebration of a discussion between me and Nancy that goes sometimes beyond words, in that space made of reflections of light, subtle sounds of birds and children playing, hidden waters.
