Director Statement

I am thrilled to finally be screening "Standing on Your Grave"! The idea was conceived in early 2019 when I was doing research on my great grandfather Roland May. He was renowned for his interest in the supernatural and wrote numerous ghost stories for local Irish newspapers. Some of his stories were fictional, but most of them were based on fact. My mother had kept all his writings in tact and while reading through them, I became inspired to write my own ghost story and to produce it as my graduation project for film school. I hope that you enjoy the film and the beautiful Cork scenery. I also hope that the film gives you a good old scare!
