If you're an actor, you know it ain't easy, and if you're not an actor, you probably know that anyway. We hope we can shine some light on the "struggling artist" through the tale of Angie and Claire, the stand-ins for a hit CW-style TV show starring celebs Gloria and Marielle. Together, these women try to come to terms with an industry that doesn't always provide the healthiest standards... whether they're the forgotten stand-ins or the high-pressure stars.
In another arc, we're jumping into the life of the token Asian-American celebrity and his obsessed stand-in, as they deal with the fact that they're actually nothing alike... despite what Hollywood sees.
We're proud to center women in our story on- and off-camera, and through our too-close-to-life comedy, we hope that we can shine a light on the difficulties faced by women in the TV industry. Overall, STAND-INS is a celebration of what we can achieve when we fight for the success that we deserve!
