Stains
This story is about Sarla Bhatia, my grandmother who came from Peshawar,
Pakistan (North-West Frontier Province). It follows her events coming to India. The movie
depicts the psychological impact faced when the country is torn apart and how these wounds
deepen if not healed. During her final years she had Alzheimer's. The disease took her sanity
away, but it also gave her a chance to meet her father and visit her childhood home for one last
time.

Rohan Bhatia, a Mumbai-born storyteller now residing in Goa, weaves his narratives through animation and illustration. His stories involve his encounters with people and everyone has contributed a piece in the puzzle that makes Rohan Bhatia. When he is not animating, he loves to travel and wander around with his sketchbook. His work provides the observers a space where they relate to one another and engage as a community.
