We are committed to supporting emerging and established female filmmakers. We strive to recognize new and original voices within the Saint Francis College community and neighboring New York City college campuses, as well as create a bridge between female student filmmakers and professional female filmmakers.

The festival's primary goals are to:

1)To create a social and artistic discourse among women regarding women’s self-image, intellect, spirituality, socio-economic concerns and sexuality.

2) Examine emerging digital film storytelling trends, artistic viewpoints of female student and professional filmmakers. This year we will be accepting Virtual Reality submissions.

We have screened over 90 films made by women in 27 countries and held panels and workshops on crowdfunding and the entrepreneurial aspects of filmmaking as well as the Past, Present and future of women's filmmaking with panelists Ally Acker, Isabel Sandoval, Debra Zimmerman of Women Make Movies, & Christina Raia of Seed & Spark.

ENTRY IS FREE for the entire call for ST. FRANCIS COLLEGE STUDENTS, FACULTY & ALUMNAE!! CONTACT apalmer@sfc.edu using your sfc.edu email or giving your date of graduation!

St. Francis College did a wonderful job hosting this year's film festival, despite large obstacles presented by the quarantine. They held a lovely festival via zoom, with a stimulating conversation amongst all filmmakers. I'm so thrilled they decided to carry on and host their festival this year- It was truly a bright spot in dark times.

They had to move online this year, but were very good with communication before the festival, and facilitation of discussions during it. A very friendly and encouraging group that created a very nice opportunity to bring my work to a younger audience.

The organizers took up the challenge of organizing an online festival because of the Covid-19 containment. Despite the technical difficulties, the follow-up and communication of the organizers with the directors throughout the process was excellent and very friendly, with high quality productions in competition. Thank you again for selecting our film and have a nice trip to this beautiful festival which we hope will soon find its audience in real life!

Although I couldn't take part in the festival I’m
honored that you screened my film "Seasonal Guests" and gave it the
professional documentary award. Thank you for your thought-provoking
festival and for empowering women to look out for new perspectives as
well as giving us the faith to develop our own audiovisual ways of
    expression.
