Coming straight out of the Quebec countryside, Raphaël quickly took an interest in the alternative scene and swapped the rural life for the urban life of Montreal. He is the recipient of a diploma in photography, a certificate in screenwriting from the University of Quebec in Montreal and soon a bachelor's degree in film studies with a specialization in horror cinema. His work is mainly inspired by his passion for horror, the grotesque, the absurd and the nonsensical.
Squirt Alley is an ode to the exploitation film of the 70s and 80s. Following the structure of grindhouse trailers, this trailer takes on the great aesthetic and thematic classics of the exploitation genre. Sleezy themes, melting bodies, saturated colors, gratuitous violence, a narrator with a dubious catch phrase, cheap costumes, aggressive homeless people and all with a contemporary point of view. It will do for squirting what Jaws did for swimming.
