Give me a break, rats can’t even hear the bass!! Besides, it’s only human to be a little off-beat. Why can nobody else see that?

My animation is based on my experience coming to art school. I used to relish being known as that weird rat guy, but it hurt when I transferred and realized that even here I just can’t seem to find space for myself. Nothing makes me feel alone quite like sitting by myself at lunch, surrounded by people I have so much in common with.

I wanted to share my art school struggles through animation in hopes other people will relate to the certain kind of ‘other-ness’ that comes with being a rat. I hope you can find a part of yourself in my little ratty story.
