Director Statement

I've always believed that cinema is more than just entertainment; it's a profound way to explore, understand, and articulate the human experience. Growing up in Bengaluru, a city bustling with stories and characters from all walks of life, I've been a sponge for narratives, emotions, and the magic of film. This journey from cinephile to critic, podcast host, and now filmmaker, is my homage to the art form that has shaped my worldview.

My work is driven by the desire to create films that resonate on a personal level with audiences, sparking conversations and reflections much like the films I've critiqued and discussed over the years. My approach to filmmaking is rooted in authenticity, aiming to capture the essence of human emotions, the complexity of relationships, and the beauty in ordinary lives.

Through my films, I want to challenge the viewer, invite them into a dialogue with the narrative, and perhaps, leave them with a little more empathy for the world around them. The transition from talking about films to making them has been enlightening, allowing me to explore new dimensions of storytelling where I can control the narrative, the visuals, and the message.
