Spoliarium
Spoliarium is an embodiment of our society's social and moral life.
It captures the essence of our humanity in times of severe ordeal, where prejudice, fanaticism, and injustice threaten our reason and idealism. The project is set
in the beautiful North Seattle area, and its design exudes a realistic and naturalistic scene.
The sculpture, form, and proportion of the act give off a sense of splendor, despite the tragedy, suffering, defeat, and mourning it depicts. The mourning crowd represents those who are in pain in the situation but still have hope for a better future. The story reminds us that even in the face of adversity,
we can still find beauty and hope in life.
