Regulations Splat!FilmFest horror film festival 2017 – entry form
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Nowa Aleksandria Foundation, with its registered seat in Łęczna (20-010), Poland,
oś. Kol. Trębaczów 31 (hereinafter referred to as the Organizer) is the organizer of the 3rd Splat!FilmFest – Horror Film Festival (hereinafter referred to as the Festival) as well as of the competitions run as part of the Festival (Audience Awards).
The Festival will be held between 15-23 September 2017 in Lublin, Poland.

Submission to the Festival is open to feature films, documentaries, animations, experimental films, full length and short films, completed after January 1, 2016.
Films can be presented at the festival via: DCP, Blu-ray, video formats.
The Festival gives priority to Polish premieres.
The Director of the Festival selects and individually invites the films that will participate in the Festival. The Director also reserves the right to select the section in which the films will be presented.
Audience Awards at Splat!FilmFest 2017
Eligible for the Festival Audience Awards, selected by the Audience, are:
films that have never been presented in Poland at any public screenings
films completed after 1 January 2016.
The competition involves the following awards:

Best Screenplay Short
Best Director Short
Most Shocking Short
Best Special Effects Short
None of the awards may be given ex-aequo. Jury may award one special mention only.
4. DEADLINES, MATERIALS AND SCREENINGS
The submission deadline expires on May 31, 2017.
The prerequisite for a film to be accepted for pre-selection is sending a film (link with the access to the online version or DVD/Blu-ray) in time with duly filled official entry forms and requested documentation.
Selection results will be announced not later than 40 days before the Festival.
The Organizer will only inform the entrants whose films were selected. The Organizer is not obliged to explain their decisions.
The materials sent to the selection (including DVD/Blu-ray) will not be returned.
The Festival presents films in their original languages with Polish and optionally English subtitles. The selected entrants are obliged to provide the Organizer with the English dialogue list or the English subtitled DVD/Blu-ray screener.
For each selected film, the Festival must receive: a synopsis of the film, stills from the film as well as a biography and filmography of the director. The aforementioned materials must be sent not later that 15 days after receiving the selection confirmation.
The owners of the films participating in the Festival will be requested to send publicity materials (posters, flyers, trailers, etc.).
Once the participation of the film is officially confirmed, the Organizer is qualified to use excerpts from the film (maximum 3 minutes); and to publish information about the film on the Festival website as well as in all printed promotional materials (such as the catalogue, the program brochure, press materials, etc.).
The Organizer reserves the right to use all publicity materials before, during and after the Festival.
6. TRANSPORTATION AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PRINTS
The prints should reach (in accordance with Shipping Instructions) the Festival Office in Lublin (Poland).
The cost of the prints' transportation, if not agreed otherwise, is covered by the Festival:
a) to and from Poland, if the print is transported from and to the lending company (Producer/Sales Agent);
b) one way (to Poland only), if the print is transported along a chain of festivals.
The Organizer is responsible for the prints from the moment of pick-up from the shipper (when importing) to the moment of giving them to the shipper (when re-exporting). The Festival's responsibility for damage or loss of the print is limited to the cost of making a new print according to the present laboratory rate for making a standard print.
Damage to the film print must be reported to the Organizer within a month after return or prior to any following festival screening.
All prints will be returned by October 15, 2017 at the latest.
7. RIGHTS TO THE FILM
Submission to the Festival is open to films, to which the Participants have the legal title, including copyright and related rights, which enable the submission of the film to the Festival, and the presentation of the film during the Festival. In particular, the Participant shall ensure, that:
1) he or she has the copyrights to the film (including each creative work used in the film), or appropriate licenses in that matter;
2) he or she has the related rights to the film, or appropriate licenses in that matter;
3) distribution of images of persons in connection with the submission of the film to the Festival, or the presentation of the film during the Festival does not infringe the personal rights of the aforementioned persons.
The Organizer reserves the right to: refuse the film's qualification to the Festival, suspend the film's participation in the Festival, or to withdraw the film's participation in the Festival when the Organizer becomes aware that the submitted film, or its presentation during the Festival may infringe the copyrights, related rights, or the personal rights of any third parties.
In case of any third party undertakes a legal action against the Organizer due to infringement of the copyrights, the related rights to the film, or its particular elements, or that third party's personal rights, the Participant is obliged to compensate any loss suffered by the Organizer, and cover all costs related to that third party's claims (as regulated in the Polish Civil Code, Article 392).
8. PERSONAL DATA
The participants shall authorize the Organizer to process personal data within the meaning of the Act of 29 August 1997 on the Protection of Personal Data (unified text: Journal of Laws of 2002 No 926, item 926, as amended).
The authorization of data shall apply to the personal data of the persons specified in the submission forms and of the persons on the payroll, in particular of the film creators and the performing artists. The authorization shall cover the following personal data:
1) name and surname,
2) email address,
3) phone number,
The Organizer may process the personal data provided by the participants in order to be admitted to the competition and to screen the film.
The Organizer shall be entitled to further authorize the personal data to be processes by other entities, within the necessary scope.
Entry and participation of films implies unconditional acceptance of the Regulations. In unspecified cases, the Director of the Festival will make a final decision.
