Spirit Mas: Spirit Island
Two Secret Lovers escape their reality and get marooned on an island. They meet a nymph who presents them with a choice, go back to their previous life or retrieve artifacts from four spirits.
This film is a collaboration with Spirit Mas Carnival and explores the joint venture of filmmaking and story telling in tandem with the cultural phenomenon that is Trinidad Carnival and the thematic presentation of their Carnival 2025 theme.

Shea Best, is a filmmaker, dancer and chef from Trinidad and Tobago. Born in 1991 in the twin island republic, he grew up being immersed in various extra curricular activities inclusive of the arts. He participated in theatre production – acting, dance and minor technical stage work with a faith based arts company COPAC.
Shea double majored in Film Production and Film Studies at the University of the West Indies. He has worked on numerous films in different capacities in the USA, Dominican Republic and T&T.
His directorial work includes Darkie (2011/2012), which played in festivals and private screenings all over the Caribbean. Most notably the Trinidad+Tobago Film Festival and the Antigua and Barbuda International Film Festival. The Cast (2013), was shot under Vin Diesels’ One Race Films, in the Dominican Republic. It premiered at the Dominican Republic International Film Festival (2013), and then the Trinidad+Tobago Film Festival. His most recent work Vulnerable (2021) has screened in numerous film festivals has won at festivals such as Hollywood on the Tiber Film Awards (2022), Munich New Wave Short Film Festival (2021) as well as received nominations for festivals such as LA Independent Women Film Awards (2021) and New York Arthouse Film Fest (2024).
His most notable film experience to date is his personal internship with actor Will Smith and director M. Night Shymalan on After Earth in 2012.
