A graduate of the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, specializing in Textile and Interior Styling, and currently a master’s student in Design at the Łódź University of Technology. As the director of this documentary, she uses her artistic expertise and design background to explore the story of a textile artist, capturing their passion, creativity, and influence on future generations.
This documentary tells the story of a fiber artist, who has lived a life full of experiences, with much to share with the younger generation. I chose this topic to capture the value of memories and wisdom from those who have lived through a great deal, as their stories can be an inspiration. The film aims to show how life experiences shape our identity and how important it is for the younger generation to learn from them. Through an intimate narrative, I want to encourage viewers to reflect on their own lives and what they can pass on to others. The biggest challenge was capturing the true depth and emotions of this story. The documentary shows how the wisdom of an older person can bridge the gap between generations. It is a film about values that should not be forgotten and the power of the past in shaping our future.
