Rafael Mayoral-Parracia is a director and cinematographer based out of Atlanta, Ga. He is also the founder of Spider Fortress, a production company focused on creating story-driven music videos, dark genre films and subculture-focused documentaries.
Spending the earlier portion of his career as an in-house director of photography for NGL Media, Rafael has shot docu-style campaigns for Jack Daniels, Schick, and Buchanan's Whiskey, as well as a variety of music videos, and the PBS documentary "Tales Of A Ghetto Klown".
During the 2020 Covid lockdown Rafael filmed and stared in the short film CABAL, which premiered Nightstream collective film festival as part of the Popcorn Frights Shorts Program, and was awarded best Dark Sci-Fi Micro Short at Austin After Dark Film Festival.
As a filmmaker Rafael enjoys fusing genres, turning social perceptions on their head, and exploring themes where terrible problems never have clean solutions.
