Spatial Separations: Part One

This work is part one of a three-part investigation of the space in between dancers and the shapes this creates as they interact with each other and the surrounding environment through movement. In this duet, the study is focused on the absence of negative space in between the performers as they move synchronously across the space. It intimately exposes closeness, unity, and interconnection by transporting the viewers through various perspectives not typically shown to audience members. This film allows viewers to participate in the very personal experiences of the dancers as they navigate the space around them through harmonious, coordinated movement.
