Soyga
The village of Soyga was founded by monks 400 years ago.At the beginning of the twentieth century in the Arkhangelsk region, deforestation was organized. In the 1950s, a narrow gauge railway was built to transport timber to the Northern Dvina River.
Now Soyga settlement is surrounded with swamps and is situated 38 kilometers away from the nearest highway. After the shortening of the Timber Fund the financial support of the road and the settlement has stopped.
