Alysha Nunez is a Filipino-American artist and filmmaker with a focus in animation as a Bachelor's in Fine Arts degree major at the California State University of Long Beach. She was also the recipient of the 2019-2020 ASIFA-Hollywood Student Scholarship; the biggest and most prestigious scholarship awarded to students in the world, during her schooling.
Her style of writing and choices of the stories she chooses to tell have been catered towards the likes of A24 productions and to push into the adult-animation scene.
When not animating or writing, she likes to daydream with music on full blast while cruising on a skateboard.
"This Old Winner" is a film that serves as a subtitle to its parent animated feature film project/screenplay titled, "Sow Don't Sing." This short film adapts pages 9-14 and serves as a proof of concept to demonstrate the desired aesthetic of the full feature.
