We created this festival as an opportunity for undergraduate filmmakers of the Southeast U.S. to come together and celebrate the art of student-produced motion pictures. Our mission is to ignite creativity and passion for cinema among college filmmakers and our local community alike by establishing a regional platform showcasing outstanding student films and screenplays, putting Southeast students on the map!

The festival is programmed and run by a group of dedicated Film and Video Production students at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia. The two-day event, running January 31 - February 1, 2019, will feature screenings of short-film blocks both on the UWG campus as well as at the Carrollton Center for the Arts in downtown Carrollton, as well as dramatic readings of the screenplay competition's award winning-scripts, visiting filmmaker Q&A's after most screenings, and an awards ceremony and reception concluding the festival. Join us this winter to celebrate Southeastern Student Filmmakers!
