The South Western International Film Festival is a four day Arts & Culture Festival led by Toronto International Film Festival and Hot Docs Canadian International Film Festival Programming Associate, Ravi Srinivasan. SWIFF will bring culturally diverse, International stories, live music and filmmaking workshops to the South Western Ontario region of Canada. Its home base is the city of Sarnia, situated between Detroit, MI and Toronto Canada.
Our aim is to spotlight new voices, female perspectives and stories that will engage a region that has a growing thirst for Art and Culture. Guests of the festival have included Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Emma Donoghue (ROOM), Patricia Rozema (INTO THE FOREST), Nathan Morlando (MEAN DREAMS), Richie Mehta, Johnny Ma, Alethea Arnaquq-Baril, The Sadies and many more!

All films selected are given a screening fee. Filmmakers are offered full transportation and accommodation to the festival.
