The South East Summer Film Festival is located in Cocoa, Florida. We are dedicated to joining filmmakers and film lovers to enjoy the art of storytelling. A weekend event dedicated to films including workshops, education, networking, and lots of films. June 15, 16 & 17th, 2018.

$500 per category for 2018

All films must be completed after June 1st, 2016.
All entries shall be made through FilmFreeway, no exceptions.
If you are entering more than one film please make sure that they are eligible for each category you wish to enter and you pay a separate fee for each film.
The Festival reserves the right to place films into alternative categories if it feels it is to the benefit of the filmmaker. This will be discussed with those relevant before any decision is made.
The significant dialogue or narration of all films must be in English, or the entry must have English-language subtitles. Exceptions can be made for films that contain little or no dialogue.
Films selected for screening during the Festival are to be on blu-ray DVD format. Both submission and exhibition will be on blu-ray DVD.
We do not require a full press kit at time of entry. If successful, we will ask for a press kit if/when your film is accepted.
The Festival reserves the right to use extracts from submissions for TV coverage or any other publicity that is used in the promotion of the Festival.
SESFF will solely appoint a selection committee to review submitted material.
It is NOT acceptable to submit a working copy of a film. ‘Work-in-progress’ entries are not allowed. SESFF only accepts the final version of films.
retains the right to keep all submissions as well as associated materials for its use. SESFF reserves the right to transfer submissions to a master hard drive digital library, building a digital reference archive (“SESFF Permanent Digital Library”). SESFF will not theatrically screen for commercial purposes any films without the express written consent of the appropriate rights holder(s).
The Selection Committee will at its own discretion select between 5 to 10 nominees for each category.
ONLY the selected films will official selection notification emails be sent to. SESFF will also advise you of further requirements and next steps in said correspondence.
Once a film has been selected, the subsequent submission material is required:
The final screening copy of the film, which can only be submitted in the Bluray format
If the original language(s) of the film is not in English, the final screening copy must be subtitled in English.
Selected films should be submitted with an Electronic Press Kit (“EPK”) of the film including but not limited to a Digital Hard drive or DVD copy of the trailer used for promotional purposes and 2 still images of the film in Jpeg or PDF format in high-resolution.
The submitter hereby represents and warrants that he/she holds all rights in and to the film and Material and that he/she has the authority and capacity to submit the film and Material for AFRIFF.
The submitter acknowledges that SESFF shall not be held liable or responsible in any manner whatsoever for any loss or damage of whatever type or nature incurred as a result of the submission, acceptance and/or screening of the film and/or Material. Furthermore, the submitter undertakes to indemnify and keep SESFF indemnified against all liabilities, claims, demands, actions, costs, damages or loss arising out of the submission, acceptance and/or screening of the film and/or Material.
