Can the friendship between Pakistani and Indian students in Chang'an withstand the test during the Kashmir conflict between India and Pakistan? When the Russia-Ukraine war led to the deterioration of relations between Russia and Western countries, how should Russian and Canadian coaches living in Chang'an get along with each other? The two sports of cricket in the southern hemisphere and ice hockey in the northern hemisphere have provided the answers.
Wang Shan, the producer and screenwriter of the film, once had the experiences of living, working and studying in southern and northern countries. She often thought about the problem of people's antagonism caused by wars and the deterioration of relations between countries. However, the relationship between people is both political and non-political. This film takes the two niche sports of cricket and ice hockey as the carriers, aiming to show the scenes of life-oriented and non-political interactions among people from opposing countries.
